It is with deep regret and much sadness that we inform you of the passing of one of our dearest friend and member of IBS, Max McKay.
Max passed away on 1 September 2018. His funeral will be held on Tuesday 11 September 2018 at the Dapto Anglican Church, Moombara Street, Dapto at 11.00 am. All members are welcome to attend.
Max was the oldest member of our club, and was loved and adored by all who knew him, both in and out of the athletic community, and a great adornment to the masters’ community.
He was a quiet humble man, with a caring and gentle soul - a real gentleman. He was a fantastic athlete and competitor who never gave up with an undeniable love for athletics. Max had been competing in athletics for about 78 years and had broken many records along the way. He would still be competing today if it hadn’t been for his ill health.
