The club also commenced the first round of cross country for the winter season last Sunday held on the challenging Bulli Beach course, and good to see a good number of athletes taking to the challenging course. Top athletes over 2km was Mel McCann and Mal Gibbs over the 4km.
Next round will be the Minnamurra course on Sunday 4 May, one of the toughest but nicest courses on the program. For more information, call the secretary on 4262 8498.
Blue Stars will also conduct the winter track and field each 4th Sunday of the month, the first round to be conducted in May, and is open to all athletes from under 8 right through to masters men and women. This year will see some new ideas and one the club feels will be welcomed by all athletes who take part. No entry fee is required, just payment through Beaton Park Leisure Centre to the track, each round commencing at 10.00 am.
