Meanwhile club member Mary Thomas is jetting her way back from the World Championship in time to contest the NSW masters Winter Throws Championships. To be held at the Kerryn McCann Athletic Centre, the championships will bring together masters throwers, including Mary and club mate June Lowe, who will compete from 29 September to 1 October. Struggling with a hip problem, Mary will give it a go in her usual manner, as with June who is also battling an injury.
