Athletes are rounding off the first part of the summer season and will look forward to the Christmas break and then leading into the major meets of the summer season. Our first major meet will be the Illawarra Track Challenge and we are pleased to announce the following sponsors are on board to ensure this meet is as successful as the past. Our thanks are extended to Bing Lee Warilla, Kings Sports Store and Litani’s Cafe Restaurant who have so far confirmed they will be sponsors of this meet. Our thanks are extended to these companies and this now assures that IBS will deliver the same format for this meet with top prize money and goods. To be held Saturday 13 January 2018, the Kerryn McCann Athletic Centre will be open to the public to witness some of the best athletes in the State take part in the men’s and women’s 60m State title and the open men’s and women’s 1 mile championship. These events will attract top quality fields and with the supporting events, the meet will be a nonstop action packed day/evening of athletics. Events will also be conducted for U10 and U12 boys and girls over 60m and 100m as with the masters’ men and women.
This meet will then be followed by the NSW Country titles to be held at the Kerryn McCann Athletic Centre over the long weekend in January, a meet that will attract athletes from all country areas in NSW.
