Zone Championships and All Comers

Zone Championships successful for Dual members

Our dual registered athletes are competing well and as there are too many names to mention,  but our local members have performed well in the recent Wollongong Zone Meet, held last weekend on home ground. Many have made it through to the next level where they will contest the Regional titles, an success here will mean a trip to state. Well done everyone on a great effort. We now look forward to seeing another lot of our dual members contest the Sutherland and Liverpool Zones, they to hoping  they too can make it through. The standout of the meet last weekend was the support given to the athletes from their respective club committees. Well done everyone and good luck for the next stage.

Impressive results at All Comers

IBS senior men have impressed over the weekend at the All Comers meet held on Saturday. Kyle Grubnic had a very impressive run over the 200m placing in the top 6, with Lachlan Parry also impressive and a very much improved sprinter, Connor Dymond. They then backed up for the Sunday program and again impressed over the 100m.  U16 athlete Emma Matthews has again lowered her 100m time, with an impressive 12.6. Moving into the Challenge and then Country, the IBS senior men are now proving they will be in force in both these meets. Senior female athlete Stephanie Power will make her first appearance at next weekend after a long bout of injury, but great to see this talented female sprinter back on track.
