Following the Track Challenge will be the NSW Country Championships to be held in Dubbo on 20, 21 and 22 January 2017. To clarify a few little issues that have arisen:
Athletes will compete in one year brackets up from 11yrs, 12yrs,13yrs, 14yrs, 15yrs, 16yrs, 17yrs, to under 20, which will be 18yrs and 19yrs, followed by open and masters. The masters competing in 10yr age brackets.
Athletes registered with ANSW, ages 8, 9 and 10 will compete in their own age brackets who and must compete in their club uniform.
Dubbo is expected to be quite hot so athletes are reminded to be fully prepared.
Dubbo track is new and has a fabulous synthetic track and grandstand.
ANSW have prepared the program to have a break in between each day, and will then continue the events into the evening to avoid the heat.
The program has been designed to allow supporters an early departure on the Sunday with events finishing around the 2.30pm mark to allow people time to travel home.
Blue Stars members are asked to check their emails for all information, but are reminded accommodation has been booked by the club and all deposits are required by next Sunday. Entries will not be accepted by the club, with athletes to enter via ANSW web site, which has now opened.
The Country Championships will be followed by the State Championships in U16, U18, U20 and Open, and also masters, followed by the National Championships for athletes who meet the qualifying marks.
