Officials take part in Games

IBS John Munro, Ann Grimm and Jodie Sundstrom are among the NSW officials chosen to represent Australia at the Commonwealth Games.  After witnessing the highs of the games with an outstanding Opening Ceremony and fabulous results coming from the pool and the cycling, athletics once again has a low spot with the withdrawal of Sally Pearson. This highly talented hurdler was to lead our team of youth and experience, but it is now up to the likes of Dani Samuels, Ryan Greigson, Madeline Hills and co to support a team of very young athletes. Our performances are not meant to meet those of the swimmers with most countries taking part in athletics and many of the world’s best taking to the track at these games. But we may witness some promising performances from our young athletes who will use these games as a stepping stone to future Olympics and World Championships — IBS wishes all our athletes the best and especially our local athletes Ryan Greigson and Madeline Hills, and to our officials, who we know will perform well at such an important and high level event.
