The passing of Barry Keem Snr is a sad time for his family, wife Suzie, Baz (Barry Jnr) and his wife Marion and daughter Anita, and also for members of IBS who had the opportunity of working with Barry on our Committee and also to those who knew him. Barry was a tireless worker for our sport of athletics and came into the club when young Baz (Barry Jnr) decided to do athletics. He quickly put his hand up to help and became a great President of our club. I remember Barry as a person who always put the athletes first and his great sense of acknowledging peoples performances. He was a strong supporter of his son Baz, and accompanied Baz to almost all of his performances.
